- Over a period of five years we’ve gone from around 60 people to 115. We’ve had an incredible growth and it looks like we’re continuing along the same path in 2010, says Anders Wink, branch manager for Sogeti in Umeå.
Swedbank, the National Tax Board and the county council are among Sogeti’s biggest clients in Umeå. But they also have many clients in the manufacturing industry, although this particular sector has seen a decline over the past year. Despite this, Anders Wink says that they are increasing the number of clients, and that existing customers need help in more areas.
- Without our effort many of our clients would find it difficult to keep operations going. IT becomes more and more central and important in every operation, and today there is virtually no manual systems back-up, says Anders Wink.
The company is now looking for people with knowledge of system development. Highest in demand are experienced developers in the fields of Business Intelligence and web. According to Anders, recruiting ten or so new members to the team shouldn’t be difficult.
- Here in Umeå there are loads of competent people as well as good education. Umeå is also an attractive city and many who have moved away would love to come back.
