have been working with these types of solutions since 1995 within an OS/2 environment using CID technology (Configuration Installation Distribution) from IBM. Due to our extensive OS/2 experience, we began working on an assignment for one of Sweden’s largest banks, where our main tasks were to help with maintenance and further development of these automated installation processes for operating systems and applications.
upKeeper is a packaged client platform environment with two primary parts – processes and technology. The processes describe how to work with an automated IT platform, and the technology contains tools that are needed to make this possible. The processes and the technology are based on established standards. upKeeper is equipped with Zero Touch Installation, which means that the work to install and maintain operating systems and applications is 100% automated.
